SB 438 combined two historic education policy proposals: a set of initiatives intended to improve Connecticut’s Round 2 application for the Race to the Top grant; and legislation, formerly known at the "parent trigger," designed to help close Connecticut’s Achievement Gap.

AFT'S ONLINE 'T-SOURCE' TARGETS NEW TEACHERS

The AFT has launched "t-source," a new online forum (http://www.t-source.org/) that will provide professional resources and communication opportunities with a special focus on teachers entering the profession.

Bristol Federation of Teachers, AFT 1464, is the exclusive, collective bargaining agent for teachers and other certificated school professionals who work in Bristol Public Schools.
